“Real Artists” is Cameo Wood's first narrative film. Cameo had a long career in technology, working in voice over IP and computer security, and then studied artificial intelligence and neuroscience in university. She also opened up the first urban beekeeping store in America. Filmmaking has been her lifelong desire, and she is thrilled to have the chance to make movies.
Adam Engel is an experienced film-maker from Kew Gardens who both Produced and Directed three feature length independent films; WINTER (2011), On A Country Road (2013), and Murder No. 3 At The Higgins Building (2014). Adam has spent the better part of the past decade producing original works. From a very young age Adam has been passionate about storytelling through motion picture. After years of attempting to replicate the masters with a VHS camcorder he borrowed from his father, he attended The New York Film Academy (NYFA) both in New York and Los Angeles. Subsequently completing a degree in Fine Arts, Adam created TangoLight Films, a production company with the sole purpose of telling extraordinary stories. Through both producing and directing these feature length films and years of experience behind the camera, Adam has been featured and prestigious New York festivals and internationally. Recently Adam has directed beautiful "Hua Mei Orchestra" Documentary and is embarking on his biggest feature film to date; Mouse, filming in the spring of '17.
Cristina de Leon
Christina is a writer, director, and born and raised California girl. Though initially trained in acting, Christina found a deep love for writing when she was encouraged by instructors to create her own opportunities.
She's still not over the break up of the Spice Girls and wishes everyone would please stop bringing it up.
Shawn Cortel left his midwest roots in Iowa to attend college at, Pepperdine University where he graduated with a B.A. in Theatre Arts. He has performed on stage and screen from NYC to California and has a strong love for self expression through all artistic mediums. He currently resides between LA and NYC. This is his directorial debut.
Thomas is an Emmy award winning Producer and three-time Emmy nominated Director with over 35 years as an Independent filmmaker and commercial producer/director.
For Molly, directing was not her first venture in the film industry. After taking filmmaking and acting courses at places such as Academy of Art San Francisco and New York Film Academy, she pursued both acting and directing. She has directed a few short experimental comedies prior to 'Lizzie Lost.'
